Riyaaz, which means “to practice” in Hindi and Urdu, is an Austin-based Qawwali group. With the primary vision of bringing qawwali and other related musical traditions back into the lime light, the group was loosely formed in the winter of 2006 and is now a full Qawwali party led by Sonny K. Mehta.
